Debating bst or blu for soloing the above. Obviously trusts where possible. Smn is going to b my main but would like one of these to be able to help gear it.

Blu and Bst can solo salvage easily, blu is more preffered due to being able use physical and magic damage for bhaflau remnants 2 where it is needed for cereberus, not to mention self th from traits.
Escha Zitah t1 might be doable with trusts as bst, you might run into a few problems since you are just starting out and don't have much vorseals (like atmas in abyssea).
For omen, I am assuming you want to get cards for smn? Its better to farm on smn instead of converting other cards as the ratio is 10 cards for 1.

That being true, soloing in Omen as SMN sucks quite a lot unless you have just a metric f-ton of gear already. I'm guessing if you're going after SMN cards, you don't.
Best advice, quite seriously, is find a social linkshell. Even a rinky-dink little server like mine (poor Bismarck) has 3 or 4 decently sized social shells. Finding people to do Omen with isn't usually all that difficult as the entry cooldown is pretty lenient.

IMO I'd go with BLU. It's remarkably self-sufficient if you prepare it well.
BST SUXX for salvage because you won't always get a ranged unlock at the start of the run (you usually won't, in fact) and without ranged slot, you don't get a pet, because nothing is charmable. You can still make it work anyway because of how badly we overpower the content now, but it's definitely not one of the ideal options, whereas BLU is probably one of the best.

In agreement with others, I'd also strongly recommend blu; the diversity of traits and spells really makes the job highly adaptable to whatever content you are working on. Blu is in particular my go-to for Salvage and Nyzul (should you need that for mythic progression). Subduction is a fast casting, low mp aoe spell that makes the wonton slaughter of mobs in those areas so much easier. In addition, blu has access to the Carmine set (new version of crimson set) that includes a +18% movement on the +1 legs. You will likely find it highly useful for a wide range of content, especially if you want to solo or low-man.
