Do you really think that people discussed religion when kings told them what to believe?

I seem to recall some philosopher being forced to drink hemlock for doing so... against his "king's" wishes.

Edit, damn darkdoom beat me too it... obligatory darkdoomstfu!

What's the correct term of fear of religion? Theo-phobic? Is there even such a term?

Religion itself is the term for the "fear of religion". For example, a "God fearing man" is a religious man. The more sensitive you are about religion, the more religious you are. It's a never-ending cycle.

I have nothing to add to the topic of this thread though, if there is one.

It's cool, the topic is wildly changing as posts are made.
Eh, this topic is more interesting than the original one.

EDIT: Wow how'd I ***** up that bad and let it go unnoticed?

And yet college math classes everywhere insist that you know how to find and calculate the square root of a negative ******* number.

There's a vast difference between "truth" and "what you believe to be true". I have no idea what the context of this comment is for, but on this point, you're wrong.
The truth here is, I felt that people dont help others so much anymore.I feel that FFXI is alive, but most people ignore those cries for help.
Man you're good at missing the point.

Alkezo wrote:
Suddenly, discussing religion is bad. I'm agnostic myself because you can't prove or disprove either one but I've had some stimulating discussions targeting religion.
Just like you can't say that Bigfoot or Leprechauns or Unicorns don't exist because you don't have definitive proof that they don't exist.

Spoiler alert: You can't prove an absolute negative.
I'm hoping that you actually get my point.
That you feel that people help less than they used to. Yes, got it. Don't agree and not interested.

I hope somebody from alla has the balls to just talk to me some day. I'm leaving. I hope you all find what you are looking for.

Yes. Flaw of the site, not the poster.

I'm bad enough with arithmetic I don't need to be making 6 different number segments on a non-real answer. Theories with clearly definable variables, fine. I'm great at that. Telling me to quantify or simplify an equation with no real solution, I tell you to go to hell and stop wasting my time.

I don't know whether Rule 34 has ruined or enriched my childhood. Hard to say.
