One more final, since of course you brought up Haun's Mill.
You had a frightened, tired, worn group, that had only been chased from New York, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri.
They had been thrown out of homes in the middle of the night, their leaders shot and killed when they were to be under the protection of the Governor of Illinois. People had been tarred and feathered, children died of cold, women raped. All long before your Mountain Meadows. Go look up that Haun's Mill. See just how many Mormons were killed there by fine folks that think like you.
We left in a rather historic exodus, taking what little we were allowed to have after that point. beautiful homes were left behind to be ravaged and burnt down by others that think the same as you.
Once here in the west, you all weren't happy with that. You sent the army after us. The orders were at that point to make sure there wasn't much of us left. We used scorched earth policy and once more dreams of living in peace died.
Your Poor Mountain Meadows group had thugs with that promised they would come back to take care of the Mormon's. They bragged of the killings and the extermination orders out in Missouri.
A reason to kill people? No. But at least I can see frustration and fear as a better reaaon that what you non-mormon folks had, which is jut what you keep showing here. Intolerance and religious bigotry.
Get over yourselves.
